Tickets to the opening game of the NBA Finals are being resold for hundreds or even thousands of dollars but for many Boston Celtics or Dallas Mavericks fans the price does not adequately describe the value of attending the game. Boston is playing for an unprecedented 18th NBA championship title and face enormous pressure as the odds-on favorite in their second Finals appearance within three years. It's also a second chance for stars Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum to win the title and an opportunity for Kristaps Porzingis to win over his former team. "He's a big Celtics fan," said Sam Quiros, who traveled from Florida with his son for the game. "He's been wanting to go to a finals game for the past three years, so we decided to finally buy them."Dallas, led by stars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, are playing to make good on a partnership that began late last season after Irving was traded from Brooklyn following a tumultuous run of two-plus seasons with the Nets. Much has also been made of Irving's opportunity for revenge against the Celtics, for whom he played from 2017 through 2019."How much did you spend on tickets?"
