Here we go again, another 30 lightspeed bundles videos in the next 10 days coming up

They are definitely worth it, but I can’t help but feel a little upset that they raised the price. Feels like they are trying to nickel and dime us for all we got.

What's funny is if you look at the general Skywalker pack and the Padme pack there is 5 characters in there are required for 3 Galactic Legends

I have most of these characters at 12 already, even so £15 to relic these saves do much time for myself. The negotiator is a no brainer for any player as a good capial ship for any midgame player.

First of all, Geonosians are technically a part of a journey, because you need them for Wat Tambor. Also, these packs are great (I will probably be getting the Gas, Geonosian, and Nightsisters) but man, do they cause whiplash on my current farming plans. I bought the Rey bundles, BAM bundle, and the Thrawn Rebel Bundle. I haven't finished zetaing those characters, haven't finished gearing BAM, haven't worked towards SLKR yet (all I need are the R7s). I decided to take a break from that to gear up and go for the Revans to get those teams up and running, and now they are putting these packs out. It's hard to find a balance between getting these teams up and running and getting legendary characters that I don't have (some that im sitting on 7 stars gear LV1 requirements for). But dang, getting those teams and Negotiator is insane, even if my GK is already R5. As far as my soul, I personally consider myself F2P with a *, because the lightspeed bundles are the only times I spent money in this game

As someone who just got into SWGOH to me those lightspeed bundles are the best value to me outside of that initial hyperdrive and those are the only bundles i will ever spend money on (unless they bring even better bundles which i hope they don't lol) but managing your money and transactions are extremely important and i say that as someone who has went down the gacha rabbit hole for years and years. $2, $5, $10, $20 packs add up. You can think you only spend $50 and next thing you know apple bills you for $250 so i completely agree on making hard caps and never spend more than you can afford.

I think for the amount of extra teams we are getting for grand arena and improving TW omnicron teams is great. I can keep back some extra ones to help clear teams and value is fantastic

I started a f2p account on the same day as Ahnaldt101 released his 2023 farming guide it has been a stuggle in both Fleet and Grand Arena so I have been stuck micromanaging my crystals even though I am getting so close to the Exctuor. I still feel years behind everyone else every wave of lightspeed bundles. (Also started the Revan farm today )

For me, this helps me catch up to my guild and actually contribute. If I had the money to buy them all I would. I can only get 1-2 bundles this time. It is still ok. I love and hope they bring them around again so I can pick up the rest

Living the economic collapse in Argentina - I get it, I just wish they'd let us use local economy and not dollars (almost 1k ARS to the USD). I don't like making purchases that require a "family meeting" to justify (15000 pesos is hard to let go of, very hard, 50000 even harder). I handle jealousy and envy different than Argies (I am German, it is petty behavior), but the sting is still there.
I am happy for those who can and I feel for those who cannot.
I need a washing machine (1 million pesos) and my foundation on the house fixed (more than a million pesos, I am doing the physical digging and the other "no one wants to do" work (master wireman forced to retire because "too old" - over 50, happy to do it), we also need a new roof because the rain said phuhq.

I agree, the value is objectively there still, but like I saw in another comment: it does feel like the nickel and dime-ing that CG is known for is beginning again. I guess the insane amount of money they made off the last ones wasn’t enough. But oh well. I am interested to see how far they will push this and when the community will fight back. Time will tell

I think Songeta's problem is less about the purity of f2p farming, and more that it is becoming impossible to plan ahead, which hurts long-term playability. One of the most entertaining parts of this game is planning out the next months, years of what teams you are going to work towards. This is a resource management game, and your success depends first and foremost on the kinds of decisions you made six months ago. Making those decisions now is incredibly difficult: every farm you go for, you have to worry that maybe you could have just spent 15 dollars instead of two months farming. It would be one thing if there were some kind of roadmap or timeframe of lightspeed release (like with double drops); I have no problem spending on the packs when they arrive, and will continue buying them all as long as the value stays so high. But what do you do while waiting for the next pack to drop? Executor, JML, the Revans all feel risky... even farming for something new like Leia, you could potentially waste months only on her requirements only for a JKL pack to drop. It feels like the only safe bet are isolated new characters, i.e. plugging holes in existing lightspeeds with Kneesa, Zorii, etc, and waiting. This kills all the interesting long-term strategizing, which is the part of the game I enjoy the most.

I mean they are still worth it, no doubt. But for me personally they are getting a bit too expensive. If they were 10 instead of 15 I would buy them all. But now I will only buy Nightsisters...

I’m hoping there is good value in the $65 zeta bundle I saw listed in the data mine, that would be huge for light speeders like me trying to build their account

As someone focusing primarily on Dark Side teams/characters, the only ones I'm getting for sure are Padme, NS, and Geos. I'd only go back for GAS and Ewoks if my May the Fourth trivia winnings would pay for them.

For someone like me who hasn’t even unlocked Negotiator, Shaak, Plo, Droideka, or any of the ships except for Ahsoka, my credit card jumped into my hand as soon as I saw the GAS bundle 😂. CG got me good with this one

The prices aren't the problem, the problem is having all these great teams and being months and months behind on the zetas needed to actually make them functional.
There hasn't even been enough time to get the zetas needed for all the past LS bundles yet and we now have more coming.
Second glaring issue is that if you don't buy them then you will suffer in Squad and GAC when you face newer accounts that did buy them. Like those Geo or NS teams...

the gas pack is 50 bucks the signal data needed to get those relics + the kyros + the kyros you can purchase with the 89k saved get 2 is worth over 500 bucks

I'm still upset I bought the BB8 pack and personally farmed Vet Han, just for them to include him next time no extra charge.

Of course they are cheaper than the original default price. However, this is a "sale" and there is no reason why we support increasing the price of discounted goods.
GAS and NS bundles seem to be the best in this time.
You must see that before LSB were available, more than half of the players were F2P, even 90% of the players were F2P. When they release LSB at cheap prices: $10 &$20, people will be more willing to spend money. Cheap and has many teams/characters are the main and only reasons people spend money on those bundles.
And if it's not cheap, if it doesn't have as many characters, then the number of people willing to pay will be less. Maybe because of that, their profits will be reduced compared to previous times. Let's wait until the next LSB to know the results.

and i'm Still working on Leviathan... i got most of the stuff in this pack alrdy done, i already have all the ships at 7 stars, got GK at Relic 5,... so i might only buy it to get the Negotiator at 7 stars. Getting a Relic'd Jedi knight Anakin will be verry nice too for my QuiQon Omnicron team that i haven't paid attention to...
11:30 , would really want a Fury-Class Interceptor Power-Up Bundle for sure. I'm about Halfway to the fury (at 180/330 now) and anything to speed it up is welcome.

I bought the first wave of lsb but won’t be buying anymore as I feel it takes away the accomplishments. But that’s up to each person do decide and I wouldn’t criticise or tell anyone how to spend their hard earned money. Maybe think do I need this team or not and enjoy playing the game with whatever you do have.

Three of the LSB also propel you in Geo TB. Easy WAT shards and better Geo TB rewards are the hidden value here.

rey was actually 50 bucks since you needed the bb8 bundle to be able to get everything you needed to get rey.

I still don’t know what to get, Gas I’ll be getting 100% but then that means padmes is pretty pointless as I’m just getting 3 more characters and a couple more relics, I’d get the night sisters also, geos I can do without but i dont know if I leave it as night sisters and gas or add geos or padme to it

as far as value goes, they're 100% worth buying. the only exception would be if you're not willing to pay the price for anything in a free game

They are worth it. But I just can’t afford to buy any of them. I’m happy to F2P I know it’s hard and I will always be behind but I can work on my Mods and collect my zetas streamline my teams.

im trying to pick only one of the $15 packs but i'm stuck on which is better value - nightsisters is more characters but geos has a full ship set alongside them!! Any thoughts on which would be the "better" choice?

I only ask myself is it gonna make me happy because I like working for my units makes it more fun it’s why with Call of Duty my boyfriend and I like promoting to unlock stuff again it’s rewarding

Imho all bundles are worth it no matter the price vs what regular packs currently cost. But 30-50 is too rich for a person that has been pretty much F2P.
That said i might be getting the Geos and NS to round out the teams

I’ve been playing off and on since 2017 on the same account. Obviously I play casually and I never have used an alt account. Without the hyperdrive bundle and these light speed bundles, I wouldn’t be playing this game. I wouldn’t be able to get into any halfway active guild (even then, the one I’m in hasn’t been able to get TW to fire in the last couple months, I’m going to have to buy these packs and probably move on). Are there in game teams that I am just skipping the farm and just waiting on the bundle for? Yes. BUT there is SOOO much else I still need to work on that even if I lock myself in to playing hardcore for the rest of my life, I still wouldn’t catch up to what’s already been released. (Pre hyperdrive my GP was 1.4, pre Light-speed I had 2.5, currently holding 4.7 million)

I hope those bundles are also available to buy in a straight forward way by yourself and not a gift exclusive. Gifting is a lot of messing about and poorly implemented in SWGoH, so if they are a gifting exclusive I will not be buying any.

10$ would been it for me, but now it's 15$ i dont rl feel too worthy or necessary to get anymore. That 15$ already worth a lot of other game bundles in my country

I feel like most, if not all of these characters aren’t the meta. On the surface, it’s worth it but how much of these teams are getting you quality wins in GA/TW/TB. If you add omicrons to a few characters then yes. Or Merrin to the NS, but I think if you have her at G12 or better or omicrons applied to geo’s or whoever, then you likely don’t need the bundle. The only thing that makes me consider it is the negotiator bundle, but even that isn’t the meta anymore. It’s more to help in going after GL Kenobi. Idk, I probably won’t purchase any. It inflates my roster GP with non-competitive teams and doesn’t really boost my meta teams. I’d prefer to spend on omicron packs and slap omicrons on conquest characters, not including fat boba fett.

I mean with people doing ds geo, $15 to get your wat shards and get Padme isn’t bad, ewoks is either a love or hate grind for c3po who is core in GLs and for CLS team. GAS pack brilliant for the long farm of negotiator, nightsisters i dont use often enough to have a say just leaving the separatist bundle I think unless you really want them reliced is kinda a miss.

I have a serious question...i have g12 nightsister with exception of old daka at relic 5 and zombie at gear 10. In todays swgoh, is it better to have a relic 3 or gear 10 zombie?

I like how Lightspeed bundles Works… for 10 bucks you get something nice… but it should be something that you can obtain easily and it is not that big deal… I disagree with Negotiator… I am free to play… not planning to invest again (bought SLKR bundle to keep going with others) and I get Executor in like 3 months and I am happy for it and looking forward destroying ever single fleet, because I farmed Executor Earlier… but now like 10 players gonna have Negotior for free (I mean no playing time etc) … happy that I am already fu**led by teams about 6M power in GAC and sometimes I win… happy for everyone around my power gets Skywalker :D I agree it is very worth but it makes higher difference between pay2win and free2play… this game is about farming… and Skywalker is very nice farm to do (heared that) :D you will miss it

you kept saying the Negotiator is included in the GAS bundle. Am I understanding this correctly? Do I pay $50 and get all the GAS characters, Negotiators and ships? Or do I pay $100 to get the two $50 sets?

I disagree that nego+team ,gas, padme + team, and half a separatist team isn’t more valuable than starkiller… can’t even put him on defense because of 2 tap

Love the light speed bundles but the overlapping is super sh*tty

The part that's slightly soul damaging is if these packs made you choose..incorrectly...Like let's say you're one of the thousands who did the Ahnald SLKR rush and a majority of the time you've spent in the game is reduced to 10 dollars, during the time after that you've gotten sep droids and negotiator up to 7 star prioritizing it over malev.... CG said sorry you chose the most inefficient pay path and this person who went with routes not covered in LS bundles now has twice as many resources as you even if you buy in.

The value for all those new LSB's with just Kyros + signal data actually ranges from x6 to x12 over normal, that is how much better they are. Songta is a very clever player, a great player of SWGoH, however he just does not get the fact a 9 yr old game needs catch up mechanics. Honestly, without HD & LSB's eventually SWGoH would slowly die as a game and how would Songetas soul feel then with out a game to play?

Am I alone in not like this? I’ve commented before that I’m a fairly new player (1.2 GP) I decided I was going after GAS right from day one (with the ultimate goal of LV) so I did geos, padme team, Ewoks and I’m almost done with the ships and droids for GAS. That was MONTHS of work for what? I honestly feel so defeated. What they are offering is my entire team😢 I didn’t farm anything else. I didn’t even know about theses lightspeed bundles until recently. Now I’m afraid to farm anything. What’s the point of grinding and farming?

These bundles are only a positive. Anyone who is not 15mil GP is playing 'catch up', and if people care about the 'journey' then they can just not buy them. For people who want to experience more of the game having the cost reduced from $20k to $100 is a win-win for them and capital games.

They're not worth it, buy some great games like Fallout: New Vegas instead.

If these were the first bundles ever, there would be no debate. At all. They may not be as good as last time, but these deals are absolutely insanely good values. I think the only thing the SK bundle has over anything else is that you could just slap some mods and maybe zetas on them and go get a new badass. The other bundles, you still have to relic palps, jtr, padme, c3po, etc. But the values are undeniable.
